Jammu, April 26 -- Northern Railway General Manager Rajesh Kumar Pandey on Sunday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Jammu-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra rail section, reviewing the operational readiness and safety protocols of the strategically crucial USBRL project, including the world's highest railway arch bridge, Chenab Bridge.
Officials said the GM, accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Kumar and other senior officers, meticulously examined the Chenab Bridge in Reasi district and the Anji Khad Bridge - India's first cable-stayed rail bridge - besides assessing track stability, signalling systems, tunnels and safety infrastructure.
