Anantnag, May 11 -- Police have arrested 118 drug peddlers and seized over 300 kg of contraband in Anantnag district as part of the ongoing 'Nasha Mukt Abhiyan' (drug-free campaign), a senior officer said on Monday.

Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Nagpuri (IPS), told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a multi-pronged action plan has been rolled out against the narcotics trade, including cancellation of driving licences, registration certificates, and demolition of illegal properties linked to peddlers.

"Based on intelligence inputs, habitual offenders have been identified. Directions have been issued to cancel their driving licences and registration certificates. Vehicles will be seized and NOCs revoked," the SSP ...
