Anantnag, Sept. 3 -- Several rivers across Jammu and Kashmir are flowing above danger levels following incessant rainfall, raising concerns of flash floods and inundation in low-lying areas.
Officials details accessed by the Kashmir News Service (KNS), states that the Jhelum at Khanabal in Anantnag is flowing at 1594.86 m, 2.36 m above its danger level of 1592.5 m, while the Jhelum at Fatehpora in Ganderbal has crossed its previous high flood level, now standing at 1585.22 m.
Other rivers in the Valley have also crossed critical thresholds. The Vishow at Arwani in Anantnag is at 1594.49 m, 0.68 m above its previous high flood level.
Rambiara at Watchi in Pulwama is flowing at 1593.5 m, and the Doodganga at Kralpora in Badgam is at 1594...
