Srinagar, Dec. 25 -- The mother of senior journalist and Chairman of the Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA), Haji Karamat Qayoom, passed away in the early hours of Thursday. She was 102.

Family sources said she breathed her last at around 1 am. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at 11.30 am at Eid Gah Qadeem, Baramulla.

Several journalists, relatives, and local residents attended the funeral prayers to pay their last respects.
