Srinagar, April 21 -- Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, today visited Nigeen to offer condolences at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Jeelani on the sad demise of his daughter, Asma Geelani, who passed away in the United States after a period of illness.

Having personal relations with the family, and childhood friendship between children of both families, Mirwaiz expressed profound grief over the loss and described it as painful for him and his siblings. During his visit, he met the bereaved family members, including her mother and brother Imran Jeelani, and shared in their sorrow.
