Srinagar, Aug. 23 -- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today appealed to the National Conference (NC)-led government in Jammu and Kashmir to immediately roll back its recent order directing the takeover of 215 schools managed by the Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT), an affiliate of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).

In a Press Conference as Per KNS , Mufti described the government's decision as "another form of atrocity" aimed at sabotaging the educational future of Kashmiri youth. Drawing parallels to previous actions against the organization, she emphasized that targeting education after land, resources, and jobs would only harm the region's children.
