Tangmarg, Dec. 25 -- Police in Tangmarg have registered a case and detained an accused after a video showing an elderly man being assaulted went viral on social media, officials said on Thursday.

The video, which surfaced online earlier in the day, allegedly shows a man assaulting an elderly person, reportedly his father. Police said they took cognisance of the matter after the clip was widely circulated on social media.
