Srinagar, May 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday condemned the killing of a minor girl in Budgam and directed police officials to ensure a thorough investigation into the case.

According to an official statement, Sinha spoke to the Director General of Police and other senior officials and issued strict instructions to bring the culprits to justice.

He said those responsible for the "heinous crime" would not go unpunished.

The Lieutenant Governor also expressed condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family during the difficult time, the statement added.(KNS)
