Jammu, Oct. 17 -- Share Tweet Share Kargil, Oct 17 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has laid the foundation stones for two water reservoirs with a combined storage capacity of 60-70 lakh litres in Barchay and Apati villages of Sodh tehsil in Kargil district, with the projects targeted for completion by the end of November. The initiative under Project Him Sarovar aims to address acute water scarcity in the area, support agricultural activities and strengthen rural livelihoods, as water shortages have affected farming and contributed to migration from some villages.
