Jammu, July 10 -- Share Tweet Share Leh, Jul 10 (KNS) Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Friday inaugurated the Union Territory of Ladakh's first electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) five stations have been set up at the main bus stand in Leh, Tia Rong, Solar Colony, Chuchot Shamma and Khaltsi, while a sixth facility near Magnetic Hill is in the final stages of completion, he said. Each station is equipped with two fast-charging guns that can charge vehicles up to 80 per cent in 30 minutes to one hour, and has advanced fire safety systems and emergency shutdown mechanisms, the official added.
