Srinagar, Aug. 19 -- On the directions of Charandeep Singh, Labour Commissioner, Jammu & Kashmir, office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Srinagar, conducted inspections of various placement agencies operating within the district.

During the inspections, officials examined Form C Registers, Inter-State Migrant Workmen (ISM) Licenses, data/records of workers engaged through the agencies, and other statutory registers and compliance-related documents. Wherever discrepancies were observed, inspection notes were served upon the concerned agencies with instructions to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of labour laws and rules in force.
