Srinagar, May 4 -- A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce & Industries Kashmir (CCIK) on Monday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan, raising a host of issues ranging from land acquisition and the Master Plan 2035 to the revival of the traditional carpet and handicrafts sectors.

The delegation, led by CCIK President Tariq Ghani, submitted a memorandum urging fair compensation for land acquisition, simplification of hotel renewals and CLU processes, and faster clearances for businesses. The Chamber also pressed for upgrading industrial estates, mandatory GI tagging for handicrafts, and promoting solar and EV infrastructure in the region.
