Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Police has been awarded 127 Gallantry Medals on the occasion of Independence Day 2025, the highest number among all police forces in the country.

The announcement was made as part of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs' list of medal awardees across Police, Fire, Home Guard, Civil Defence, and Correctional Services.

These awards recognize acts of bravery, distinguished service, and meritorious contributions by police personnel across states and Union Territories.

Along with the gallantry honors, the Jammu and Kashmir Police also received 2 President's Police Medals for Distinguished Service (PSM) and 14 Police Medals for Meritorious Service (MSM).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
