Srinagar, May 25 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the regularisation and promotion of 17 In-charge Information Officers and Assistant Information Officers to the rank of Information Officers in the state Information Department, an official order said.

According to Government Order No. 17-JK(ID) of 2026, issued on Monday, the promoted officers have been placed in Pay Level-8 (?47,600-1,51,100).

The order regularised Showket Ahmad Khan, Riyaz Ahmad Fazili and Parshotam Dass with retrospective effect from September 5, 2018, while the promotions of the remaining 14 officers will take effect prospectively.
