Srinagar, Sept. 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma on Wednesday announced the launch of paperless PVC RC (Registration Certificate) cards and outlined measures to improve transport services in the Union Territory.

Sharma said the PVC RC card will be issued from October 1 onwards. "We have launched the PVC card, which is paperless. This will ensure that all data is available in one place and reduce inconvenience when cards are lost or damaged," he said.

On transport services, Sharma noted that the government is addressing existing gaps. "There are shortcomings in the transport department, and it will take time to resolve them. Recently, Jammu and Kashmir faced floods and other emergencies. Our priority is to rescue pe...
