Srinagar, Sept. 19 -- The Aapda Sakhi Training Programme was formally inaugurated today, 19-09-2025, at the Headquarters of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) 1st Battalion, Srinagar, with the active participation of senior officers/officials and 78 women trainees drawn from various districts of Kashmir province.
The chief guest of the event, Director Civil Defence & SDRF Kashmir, Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (IPS), presided over the function and addressed the officers, officials, and Aapda Sakhi trainees. He highlighted the critical role of Aapda Sakhis as community first responders and advocates for resilience in disaster-prone regions.
