Srinagar, May 12 -- Amid the ongoing global energy crisis and escalating tensions involving Iran, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq on Tuesday expressed hope that peace would prevail soon and urged people to exercise restraint in their consumption of resources during this period of uncertainty.

"Let us hope that the conflict comes to an end soon. In such times, resources must be consumed with restraint and responsibility," Mirwaiz said.

He also criticised the United States over the worsening situation involving Iran, alleging that Washington's policies were contributing to instability and conflict across the world, particularly in relation to Tehran.
