Srinagar, Oct. 27 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has said that no new rehabilitation policy has been formulated yet for the recent flood victims, though a proposal to allot land to affected families is under active consideration.
In a written reply to a starred question by Congress MLA Sham Lal Sharma, the Revenue Department informed the Assembly that the government has not framed any fresh policy for flood-hit families so far.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, the department said that a proposal to allot 5 marlas of state land on lease basis to each landless family affected by natural calamities including floods, landslides, cloudbursts, and earthquakes is under review.
