Forest Dept. orders dry-tree census after Tangmarg accident

A day after a journalist was injured when a dry deodar tree fell on his motorcycle in north Kashmir's Tangmarg area, the Forest Department on Friday ordered a detailed enumeration of all dry standing trees along roadsides and near public institutions.
The journalist, identified as Ubaid Malik, was injured on Thursday when a dry Kail tree collapsed onto his two-wheeler near a madrasa at Qazipora road in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district. The incident occurred due to strong winds.
