Srinagar, June 21 -- Just minutes after the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) issued the official order announcing summer vacations for schools across the Kashmir division, a fake message began circulating on WhatsApp groups and social media platforms, falsely claiming that the vacation had been deferred.

Director School Education Kashmir, G.N. Itoo, swiftly responded to the misinformation, calling the message "completely fake and baseless."
