Srinagar, May 14 -- Crime Branch raids in Srinagar, Budgam in multi-lakh Narkara fraud case*

The Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday conducted raids at multiple locations in Srinagar and Budgam districts in connection with an alleged multi-lakh rupees land fraud case involving forged documents in the Narkara area, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the case was registered under FIR No. 06/2026 under sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) following a complaint filed by a resident of Humhama, he said.
