Srinagar, Sept. 19 -- Director State Disaster Response Force Imtiyaz Hussain on Friday praised the role of SDRF personnel and Civil Defence volunteers, saying their commitment was visible during every crisis, particularly during floods in Jammu and Kashmir.

"During disasters, you saw SDRF everywhere, our people, our boats, always on the frontlines," Hussain said while addressing a six-day disaster preparedness training programme.

He said SDRF and Civil Defence volunteers deserved congratulations for their dedication, adding that their presence had brought relief and confidence to people in times of calamity.
