Jammu, April 11 -- In a historic mass movement to free Jammu and Kashmir from the scourge of drugs, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday launched the "Drug-Free J&K" campaign from MA Stadium here, flagging off a Padyatra that saw thousands of citizens from all walks of life participate.
The walkathon from MA Stadium to Parade Ground marked the commencement of a 100-day intensive campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan.
"We have given voice to a resolve that will reach every village, town, city, home, and heartbeat in the Union Territory, fulfilling the pledge of a drug-free region," Sinha told a massive gathering.
