New Delhi, May 14 -- The Government of Delhi on Thursday announced a series of measures under its "Mera Bharat Mera Yogdan" campaign aimed at promoting fuel conservation, reducing electricity consumption and encouraging efficient governance.

The decisions, which will come into effect from Friday, include mandatory work from home for two days every week in all government departments and a similar advisory for private companies.

According to the government, fuel quotas for government officers using petrol and diesel vehicles have been reduced by 20 per cent, while every Monday will be observed as "Monday Metro", under which ministers, officers and employees will commute using the metro rail network.
