Pulwama, April 21 -- Cemtac Cements on Monday organised a plantation drive at its plant site in Khrew area of Pulwama district, with officials from the Forest Department and the Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (JKPCC) in attendance.

Around 1,000 saplings of different species were planted during the drive aimed at enhancing green cover and promoting ecological balance in the area, the company said.

Divisional Forest Officer, Awantipora, Mudasir Mehmood, officials of the Forest Department, and Fayaz Ahmad, District Officer, Pulwama Division (JKPCC), were present on the occasion. Members of J&K Eco Watch also participated in the drive.
