Srinagar, May 10 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday launched a sharp counter-offensive against his political critics, asserting that their "baseless allegations" stand exposed "within seconds" as his government remains focused on development and public welfare.

"Those levelling charges without facts should first have the courage to do their homework. The lies spoken without substance are exposed within seconds," Abdullah told reporters in Ganderbal district as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

His remarks came after he laid the foundation stone for the Phase-I of the Sindh Riverfront Project, a Rs 40-crore initiative aimed at boosting tourism and creating modern public spaces along the Sindh stream.
