Jammu, Sept. 27 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Sept 27 (KNS): Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi welcomed the Railway Ministry's decision to withdraw, for the time being, the proposed Baramulla-Uri railway project, saying it has brought relief to people concerned about the proposed alignment. In a statement issued Inam Un Nabi said Engineer Rashid had consistently maintained that AIP was not opposed to development or improved rail connectivity to Uri, but that development projects must be planned and executed in consultation with the local population, particularly when they affect homes, land, livelihoods and community infrastructure.
