Jammu, Oct. 12 -- Share Tweet Share BARAMULLA, Oct 12(KNS) : Baramulla Police has intensified its crackdown on illegal sand extraction from the River Jhelum, seizing four heavy motors and other equipment in a joint operation, officials said on Monday. The raid, conducted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Baramulla, covered the stretch from Veerwan-Pandith Colony to Sheeri New Police Station, they said. Four heavy sand-extraction motors, each valued at approximately ?2.5 lakh, along with smaller motors and associated equipment were seized during the operation, the officials said.
