Patiala House Court on Wednesday reserved its order on the interim bail plea of Baramulla Member of Parliament Abdul Rashid Sheikh (Er. Rashid), who has sought temporary release to meet his ailing father admitted on a ventilator.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) MP Er. Rashid, currently in custody, moved the court seeking interim bail on medical grounds. The plea was heard by the court, where the National Investigation Agency (NIA) opposed the request, citing a confidential report. The agency submitted that interim bail should not be granted but indicated that custody parole could be considered instead.
