Srinagar, May 1 -- Voicing deep concern over the rising menace of substance abuse in the Kashmir Valley, President of J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, on Friday described drug addiction as a "silent devastation" that is systematically eroding the moral, spiritual, and social fabric of Kashmiri society.
Delivering a sermon at the historic Markazi Imambara Budgam, the prominent cleric warned that the narcotics trade is not merely a social problem but a calculated assault on the youth, consuming their faith, morality, and future.
