Srinagar, May 4 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a charge sheet against 11 accused persons, including four officials of the Srinagar Municipal Committee (SMC) and seven private beneficiaries, in connection with a case related to unauthorised construction of six illegal structures in the city.

The charge sheet was presented before the court of Additional Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, in case FIR No. 24/2020, registered at ACB Police Station Srinagar. The accused have been charged under Section 5(1)(d) read with Section 5(2) of the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006, and Section 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), which pertains to criminal conspiracy.
