Srinagar, Oct. 23 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday paid heartfelt tributes to former Governor Satya Pal Malik and other departed legislators and ministers during obituary references on the opening day of the Autumn Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah said the departed leaders had contributed in their own ways to the welfare and progress of the people. "None of us is perfect; mistakes are inevitable, whether made knowingly or unknowingly," the Chief Minister remarked, urging the House to remember the service and dedication of those who had passed away.
