Kargil, Feb. 3 -- In compliance with the directions of the District Administration, Kargil, a joint inspection was conducted on February 2, 2026, in the Kargil Main Market to ensure adherence to prescribed quality standards, fair pricing, and proper hygiene practices.

The inspection covered vegetable vendors, retail shops, restaurants, and tea stalls. The joint team comprised officials from the Food Safety Department, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Pollution Control Committee, Metrology Department, and the Municipal Committee, Kargil.
