India, May 7 -- A recent case from Ahmedabad has drawn widespread attention after a family reportedly hired four bouncers to restrict their 16-year-old daughter's phone usage (1).
The family is said to be spending nearly 65,000 per month to control her screen time after doctors identified severe social media addiction. Reports suggest that when her device access was restricted, the teenager showed intense aggression, including damaging household items and physically lashing out.
