Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- The prestigious Zojila Tunnel project in Jammu and Kashmir, connecting Kashmir Valley with Ladakh, has got delayed again as the authorities said that it is now expected to be completed by February 2028.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari responding to a question by Ganderbal MP Mian Altaf Ahmad, said the initial deadline for the project was September 29, 2026. However, delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a terrorist attack at the nearby Sonamarg Tunnel Project and extreme weather conditions have pushed the completion date further.
