Srinagar, July 30 -- The Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD) has extended the Jammu and Kashmir Unified Building Bye-Laws, 2021 (JKUBBL) to all existing colonies developed by the Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board (JKHB), bringing revised planning and development norms aimed at easing construction and improving citizen services.

According to an order issued on July 24, the provisions of the Unified Building Bye-Laws, as amended from time to time, will now apply to all existing Housing Board colonies. The notification also prescribes revised planning and development norms for future JKHB housing projects.
