Srinagar, May 10 -- The Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday announced the commencement of admissions for the academic session 2026-27 for Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP) and five-year Integrated Postgraduate (IG) programmes with multiple exit options across all 142 Government Degree Colleges in the Union Territory.

The centralised admission portal, jkadmissions.in, went live on May 9 at 11:00 am. Students can register and submit their preferences for colleges and programmes till 7:00 pm on May 27, 2026.

Admissions will be offered in more than 60 major subjects across various disciplines and will be based strictly on merit obtained in the Class 12 examination.
