ANANTNAG, Oct. 3 -- Police on Friday arrested two alleged drug peddlers in separate naka-checking operations in Anantnag district and recovered charas-like substances from their possession, officials said.
According to police, a team from Police Post Sherbagh intercepted Danish Ahmad Shah, son of Abdul Rahim Shah and a resident of Khanawari, Mattan, at Sarnal Chowk. During a search, police claimed to have recovered 1.38 kg of charas-like substance in powder form from his possession.
In a separate operation, a naka party from Police Post General Bus Stand apprehended Mehraj Iqbal Bhat, son of Mohammad Iqbal Bhat and a resident of Khanabal, at Tarbal Chee Bridge. Police said 7.25 grams of charas-like substance was recovered during his perso...
