Srinagar, April 6 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness a fresh spell of adverse weather on April 7 and 8, with the Meteorological Department forecasting widespread rain and snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms, hailstorms and gusty winds across several parts of the Union Territory.
According to the forecast, wind speeds may reach 40 to 50 kmph during the two-day period, while weather conditions are expected to intensify on April 8 with stronger winds, heavy thundershowers and intermittent rain and snowfall.
The warning has raised concerns over possible flash floods, landslides and disruption to normal life, particularly in vulnerable and mountainous areas.
