Awantipora, Oct. 4 -- Police in Awantipora on Friday said that they had solved a case of theft by arresting the accused and recovering stolen property worth over Rs 1.3 lakh from him.
An official said that the Police Post Reshipora received a complaint from one Bilal Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar of Wadpora Dogripora, alleging theft of gold ornaments and cash from his home.
During investigation of the case, police examined CCTV footage from multiple locations and pursued technical leads which led it vto Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Gh. Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Frestabal Pampore.
