Srinagar, May 23 -- The launch of the Jammu-Srinagar direct train is far more than the introduction of a new transport service-it represents the realization of a vision that persisted for decades. Inaugurated on 30th April 2026 and made operational from 2nd May 2026, this historic milestone marks a new chapter in the story of connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir.
