Srinagar, March 7 -- 17 Ramadan reminds us of the importance of Jung-e-Badr, one of the most remarkable events in Islamic history. It was the day when 313 believers stood against nearly 1000 soldiers and showed the world that numbers do not always decide victory. Sometimes, faith and belief become stronger than weapons and armies.

It was a day in the land of Arabia when the hot desert winds were moving quietly across the sand. Yet something unusual was about to happen. Two armies had come face-to-face in the open desert.
