Srinagar, Aug. 11 -- CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami, has urged LG Shri Manoj Sinha to take immediate steps for the reopening of tourist destinations in Budgam district, including Doodhpathri, Tosamaidan, Yousmarg, Nilnag and other scenic locations.

Tarigami, in a statement said, a deputation from the area recently met him and requested that he raise their demand with the authorities.

"These tourist spots are not just scenic attractions but vital sources of livelihood for many locals, including stall owners, drivers, ponywalas and others. Their prolonged closure has severely impacted the incomes of these people," he said.
