SRINAGAR, Aug. 28 -- In a major reshuffle in Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Nitish Kumar, ADG CID, has been transferred and posted as ADG Armed Police, while Sujit Kumar, IG Security, has been transferred and posted as IG Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring and posting 14 officers including several IPS and JKPS officers with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by Principal Secretary Chandrakar Bharti, M.K. Sinha, IPS (AGMUT:1996), has been transferred from ADG Headquarters to take over as ADG CID, Jammu and Kashmir. He replaces Nitish Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1999), who has been posted as ADG Armed Police.
