Anantnag, May 10 -- In a significant move under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure, has ordered the auction of a vehicle used in narcotics trafficking, marking the first such initiative in Jammu and Kashmir under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police said the vehicle bearing registration number DL8CR0936 had been seized in connection with a narcotics case and was ordered for disposal after obtaining the necessary legal sanction from the competent court under Section 52-A of the NDPS Act.
