Srinagar, July 6 -- Srinagar Police on Sunday said it has put in place comprehensive security, traffic and facilitation arrangements to ensure the safe and smooth movement of pilgrims undertaking the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra through the district.
According to a police statement, personnel deployed along the Yatra route are providing round-the-clock assistance, including traffic regulation, medical aid, guidance to pilgrims and support to senior citizens, women and children.
Police said special emphasis has been laid on maintaining law and order, ensuring the smooth movement of Yatra convoys and providing prompt assistance during emergencies.
