Srinagar, April 3 -- The Srinagar administration on Friday issued an advisory asking residents to avoid non-essential movement in view of the prevailing inclement weather and adverse forecast.

According to the advisory issued by the Office of the District Magistrate Srinagar, intermittent light to moderate rainfall, snowfall over higher reaches, thunderstorms and gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected to continue across the district till the evening of April 4.

The administration has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel unless absolutely essential, warning that the weather conditions may pose risks on roads and in vulnerable areas.
