SRINAGAR, Sept. 10 -- The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Thursday launched an online waste bin booking service, allowing residents to request waste bins through a digital platform without visiting municipal offices.
The service was launched by SMC Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb in the presence of Joint Commissioner Suhail Ul Islam.
According to officials, the facility enables citizens to submit requests online by providing details such as location and contact information through the official SMC website. The system is expected to streamline the process of waste bin allocation and help the civic body maintain digital records of requests, track their status and improve deployment of resources and field staff.
