Srinagar, May 18 -- Principal Census Officer (Urban) and Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Faz Lul Haseeb, on Sunday briefed the media regarding the launch of the self-enumeration phase of Census 2027, which began today and will continue till May 31, 2026.
Addressing the media, Haseeb said the self-enumeration initiative allows citizens to voluntarily submit their household and demographic details through a simple digital platform.
He said the initiative aims to promote greater public participation and ensure accuracy in the census process.
