Srinagar, Oct. 29 -- Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Dr Basharat Qayoom on Thursday inaugurated a two-day training programme for Phase II of Census 2027, focusing on accurate population enumeration across Srinagar's urban areas.
Qayoom, who is the Principal Census Officer (Urban) for Srinagar, stressed the need for complete coverage of assigned areas, accurate recording of individual details and strict adherence to prescribed census procedures.
He called for effective coordination among charge officers, census resource personnel, census clerks, technical assistants and other functionaries to ensure uniform implementation of the enumeration process.
